Detailed Description

Synthwave is a genre of electronic music that draws inspiration from 1980s film soundtracks and video games. The music is often characterized by its retro sound, synthesizer-based melodies, and futuristic themes. The genre first gained popularity in the early 2010s, with artists such as Kavinsky, College, and Carpenter Brut becoming well-known names in the scene. The style has since seen a resurgence in popularity, with a new wave of artists bringing a fresh take on the sound of the 1980s. Famous artists in the synthwave scene include Perturbator, Carpenter Brut, and Danger. These artists have been responsible for some of the most iconic tracks in the genre, such as Perturbator’s “Future Club” and Carpenter Brut’s “Turbo Killer”. Paintings in the synthwave style often feature bright, neon colors and futuristic landscapes. One of the most famous examples of synthwave artwork is the cover art for Perturbator’s album “Dangerous Days”, which was painted by artist Simon Stålenhag. If you’re a fan of 80s culture, or if you’re just looking for some great electronic music to listen to, then be sure to check out the synthwave scene. You won’t be disappointed.
