The art style of Outrun is very colorful and vibrant. The game uses a lot of bright, primary colors and has a very retro feel to it. The graphics are very simplistic, but this is part of the game’s charm.

Detailed Description

Outrun is a subgenre of synthwave music that takes its name from the 1988 arcade game Out Run. It is characterized by a focus on atmosphere and melody, and often features 1980s pop culture references. Outrun artists include Kavinsky, College, Anoraak, Carpenter Brut, Danger, Miami Nights 1984, Mitch Murder, Power Glove, Protector 101, The Midnight, and Timecop1983. Outrun has been described as “the perfect soundtrack to a lost 1980s summer”, and its popularity has been attributed to its ability to evoke nostalgia for a time and place that many people have never experienced firsthand. The style is often associated with the retrofuturist aesthetic, and has been used in the soundtracks of several video games, including Hotline Miami, Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, and Driveclub.
