Graffiti is a type of street art that uses spray paint or other materials to create images or words on a wall or other surface. Graffiti artists often use their art to make social or political statements, or to simply brighten up a neighborhood. Some of the most famous graffiti artists include Banksy, who is known for his satirical and often political street art; Jean-Michel Basquiat, who used graffiti to express his social and political views; and Keith Haring, who used his art to spread messages of peace and love. One of the most famous graffiti paintings is the “Mona Lisa” by Banksy, which was painted on the side of a building in London. The painting is a parody of the famous Leonardo da Vinci painting, and features a woman wearing a hijab.
