Fine art photography is a photography genre in which the artist uses the camera as a tool to capture images that evoke emotion or tell a story. The images are often of nature or everyday scenes. Fine art photography is different from other genres of photography, such as portrait or landscape, because the artist is more concerned with the composition and emotional impact of the image than with the technical aspects of the camera. Some of the most famous fine art photographers include Ansel Adams, Edward Weston, and Alfred Stieglitz. Adams is known for his black and white images of the American West, Weston for his close-ups of nature, and Stieglitz for his portraits of famous people and scenes of New York City.
