Aaahh!!! Real Monsters is an American animated television series created by Klasky Csupo for Nickelodeon. The show focuses on three young monsters—Ickis, Oblina, and Krumm—who attend a school for monsters under a city dump and learn to scare humans. The series debuted on October 31, 1994, and aired for four seasons on Nickelodeon. The show was created by Gabor Csupo and Peter Gaffney, and was executive produced by Gabor Csupo, Arlene Klasky, and Eryk Casemiro. Aaahh!!! Real Monsters was nominated for two Emmy Awards and four Annie Awards. The series has been released on DVD, and has been re-run on Nickelodeon’s sister channels TeenNick and Nicktoons. The show’s characters are designed to resemble the various monsters from horror movies and folklore.
