AOI creative concept · Night and luminous space
Restrict luminous color to the inside of one small opening in an otherwise quiet night scene.
An AOI creative concept, not an established historical movement.

A closer look
Charcoal, muted brown and concentrated cyan; matte cloth with contained glow. The focal scene: a coat pocket emitting a small cyan light.
Concentrate the light
Restrict luminous color to the inside of one small opening in an otherwise quiet night scene. A pocket, drawer or narrow recess becomes the only saturated area. The surrounding darkness must retain enough structure to make that concentration feel deliberate.
Build the quiet scene
Place a plain coat over a chair in a dim room. Let cyan light escape from its breast pocket and touch only the nearest fold and chair rail. Keep the window dark and omit city signs. A small warm reflection on the floor can balance the cyan without becoming another light source.
Resist the extra glow
If neon spills across every surface, the pocket loses its disproportionate importance. Reduce the illuminated area until the viewer has to approach it. Avoid unexplained glowing outlines around the coat; the opening, not the entire object, supplies the light.
Technique notes
Use a half-open desk drawer instead, with the light revealing a single curved handle and leaving the rest of the desk almost neutral.
When prompting an image model, spell out the rule and visible relationships. The invented style name alone is not a reliable instruction. Compare outputs against the critique above and revise the specific failed relationship.
The prompt workshop
Original creative exercises. These prompts create new illustrations, not documentary evidence.
Start with the defining rule
Create an original illustration of a coat pocket emitting a small cyan light. Restrict luminous color to the inside of one small opening in an otherwise quiet night scene. A pocket, drawer or narrow recess becomes the only saturated area. The surrounding darkness must retain enough structure to make that concentration feel deliberate. Use charcoal, muted brown and concentrated cyan; matte cloth with contained glow. Keep the composition readable, with a clear focal area and quiet surrounding space. No lettering, signatures or watermark.
Build the fuller composition
Create an original Neon Pocket Quiet composition. Place a plain coat over a chair in a dim room. Let cyan light escape from its breast pocket and touch only the nearest fold and chair rail. Keep the window dark and omit city signs. A small warm reflection on the floor can balance the cyan without becoming another light source. Use charcoal, muted brown and concentrated cyan; matte cloth with contained glow. Preserve the defining constraint: Restrict luminous color to the inside of one small opening in an otherwise quiet night scene. Avoid decorative clutter, readable text and watermarks.
Try a deliberate variation
Create an experimental illustration based on this rule: Restrict luminous color to the inside of one small opening in an otherwise quiet night scene. A pocket, drawer or narrow recess becomes the only saturated area. The surrounding darkness must retain enough structure to make that concentration feel deliberate. Variation: Use a half-open desk drawer instead, with the light revealing a single curved handle and leaving the rest of the desk almost neutral. Use charcoal, muted brown and concentrated cyan; matte cloth with contained glow. Make the changed relationship unmistakable while keeping supporting details restrained. No captions, signatures or watermark.
