Emotion Vectorism is an AOI brief for expressing a mood through sharply organized shapes. Instead of relying on a facial expression alone, it uses the direction, scale and interaction of flat color areas to support the subject.

Build the visual structure
Choose an intended quality such as tension, restraint or openness, then translate it into a few compositional decisions. Compressed shapes might create tension; wider spacing might suggest calm. These associations depend on context and the viewer, so avoid presenting them as universal emotional laws.
Build a clear silhouette before dividing it into smaller planes. Check the image in grayscale to see whether the focal point depends entirely on hue. Although the name includes “vector,” a raster AI image is not automatically an editable vector file; clean shapes may still need to be redrawn for scalable production artwork.
A focused studio exercise
Make a pair of compositions from the same five shapes. Change their spacing and direction while keeping color fixed, then ask which arrangement feels more compressed and why.
Compare the studies at the same size and save the chosen prompt or process settings with each result. Keep the subject and viewing angle fixed during this test so the effect of the changed variable stays visible.
