AOI creative concept · Night and luminous space
Outline ordinary workshop objects with broken halos that appear only where their silhouettes need separation.
An AOI creative concept, not an established historical movement.

A closer look
Coal black, dull steel and pale violet; rough bench surfaces. The focal scene: three workshop objects separated by incomplete luminous arcs.
Concentrate the light
Outline ordinary workshop objects with broken halos that appear only where their silhouettes need separation. The halos are painted graphic decisions rather than claims about electrical or physical phenomena. Large areas of the objects should remain entirely unoutlined.
Build the quiet scene
Arrange a wrench, a coil and a wooden block on a dark bench. Give the wrench two short pale arcs near its jaws, then use a longer muted arc behind the coil. Keep the wooden block unlit as a visual anchor. The halos should differ in length and distance from their objects, avoiding a uniform sticker effect.
Resist the extra glow
Trace every contour and the scene becomes a product cutout. Remove at least half the outline and ask whether the objects still separate clearly. The darkest object needs a readable shape, not its own compulsory glow.
Technique notes
Place the same objects in a shallow drawer and allow the halos to stop abruptly at the drawer walls, emphasizing their graphic construction.
When prompting an image model, spell out the rule and visible relationships. The invented style name alone is not a reliable instruction. Compare outputs against the critique above and revise the specific failed relationship.
The prompt workshop
Original creative exercises. These prompts create new illustrations, not documentary evidence.
Start with the defining rule
Create an original illustration of three workshop objects separated by incomplete luminous arcs. Outline ordinary workshop objects with broken halos that appear only where their silhouettes need separation. The halos are painted graphic decisions rather than claims about electrical or physical phenomena. Large areas of the objects should remain entirely unoutlined. Use coal black, dull steel and pale violet; rough bench surfaces. Keep the composition readable, with a clear focal area and quiet surrounding space. No lettering, signatures or watermark.
Build the fuller composition
Create an original Dark Halo Workshop composition. Use coal black, dull steel and pale violet; rough bench surfaces. Preserve the defining constraint: Outline ordinary workshop objects with broken halos that appear only where their silhouettes need separation. Avoid decorative clutter, readable text and watermarks.
Try a deliberate variation
Create an experimental illustration based on this rule: Outline ordinary workshop objects with broken halos that appear only where their silhouettes need separation. The halos are painted graphic decisions rather than claims about electrical or physical phenomena. Large areas of the objects should remain entirely unoutlined. Variation: Place the same objects in a shallow drawer and allow the halos to stop abruptly at the drawer walls, emphasizing their graphic construction. Use coal black, dull steel and pale violet; rough bench surfaces. Make the changed relationship unmistakable while keeping supporting details restrained. No captions, signatures or watermark.
