Build depth from thin sheets

The reviewed AOI image arranges irregular vellum-like panels at different distances rather than making one illuminated wall. Light passes through some sheets, catches on others and disappears in the gaps. The ember points suggest a constellation without claiming to represent one in the astronomical sky. Singed-looking edges are a visual treatment; the scene does not document a real historic manuscript or installation.

Set a few large panels in front of many smaller ones. Preserve visible suspensions and overlap sheets so a single point can glow through more than one layer. Darken selected edges, not every border. If all surfaces are equally bright, the work loses its spatial depth; if the paper is too opaque, the points of light stop feeling embedded.

Make the stars sparse

Place luminous points in small uneven groups, leaving longer dark intervals. The eye will invent paths between them. A warm light family against a nearly black room lets parchment fibers remain visible without turning the work into a fire scene. The collage tests a charred-looking corner, a single luminous sheet and a full suspended field. Each scale should keep the distinction between paper, light and empty air.
