Platform-game visual design
Super Mario Bros. is a game reference for immediate readability: characters, hazards and routes need to be understood while the player moves.

A closer look
Build a simple original route before decorating it.
Understanding the subject
Super Mario Bros. belongs to a long-running game series with changing technology and art direction. Its imagery serves interactive tasks as well as decoration. A platform, obstacle or collectible needs to be distinguishable from the background quickly. The series should not be reduced to a universal pixel-art formula, and an original design study should not be described as an official level or product asset.
AOI looking and making workshop
Build a simple original route before decorating it. Use consistent visual rules to distinguish solid platforms, background scenery and moving objects. Test the layout as silhouettes and at small size; a beautiful texture cannot rescue an unreadable jump. Establish scale with repeated units, then vary rhythm to create interest. For a generated concept image, remember that a plausible-looking level is not necessarily playable. Inspect gaps, landing areas and object overlap separately, and keep decorative elements from masquerading as interactive surfaces.
The prompt workshop
Original creative exercises. These prompts create new illustrations, not documentary evidence.
A readable route
Create an original colorful platform-game concept with a small pear-shaped explorer, clear stepping platforms and a calm layered landscape. Distinguish interactive surfaces from scenery through value and outline, with no interface.
A garden level
Design an original platforming garden of seed pods, wooden bridges and soft hills, one obvious route and a few optional ledges. Use consistent scale and avoid recognizable franchise objects.
Two-color challenge
Create an original platform-level concept using dark solid platforms against a pale background and one accent color for moving elements. Prioritize silhouette clarity and a rhythmic sequence of spaces.
