Dense blue and orange points gather into curved bands around a spiral. The fine marks remain subordinate to a large, readable sweep through the image.
Build the visual structure
Build the broad value structure first. Vary dot spacing, size or brightness to explain the form, but avoid changing all three without a reason. Closely packed marks can create a darker or brighter passage depending on the ground; test the effect at the final viewing size.
Keep the small marks irregular enough to avoid unwanted mechanical banding, while preserving the direction of the larger pattern. A raster image has a finite resolution, so detail that looks rich when enlarged may merge when reduced. Judge the intended thumbnail or print scale, not only a zoomed-in preview.
A focused studio exercise
Render the same simple sphere with three point densities. Keep the light direction fixed and choose the sparsest version that still explains the volume convincingly.
Compare the studies at the same size and save the chosen prompt or process settings with each result. Keep the subject and viewing angle fixed during this test so the effect of the changed variable stays visible.
