This AOI invention treats that visual relationship as a playful material fiction, not a geological model or an edible recipe. The reviewed artwork shows broad bands compressed into one sweeping arch; their matte edges keep the object recognizably marzipan-like rather than polished stone.
Build a few thick layers with slightly different almond tones. Bend them around one major hinge, then expose a clean cut edge that shows the stack. Place small irregular crumbs and nut fragments only where the surface is broken. If the folds become too smooth, they read as plastic; if every layer fractures, the large geological motion disappears.
Balance dessert and landscape
