Creative experiment · branching filaments and point networks
Dandelion Data Sculpture turns an airy seed head into a luminous network of fine strands and tiny nodes. The image reads first as a flower, then as a delicate system of paths.

A single branching sphere rises on a narrow stem. Fine luminous filaments radiate outward; a few detached seeds leave the main form against a dusk field.
Give information a light body
This is an AOI creative experiment, not a visualization of an actual dataset. The word data describes the network-like arrangement of repeated filaments and nodes, while the dandelion provides a familiar silhouette. The invented sculpture asks how a dense web can remain visually weightless. Its most important move is to preserve the open air between connections.
Place a small core slightly above center, then distribute long rays at uneven intervals. Let some rays branch twice and others remain simple. Tiny bright beads can mark selected intersections, but too many make the structure look like a solid ball. One or two drifting seed fragments show that the network might disperse, without sacrificing the clarity of the main sphere.
Use light with restraint
A muted dusk background separates hair-thin strands from one another. The example uses warm silver light and a quiet horizon to establish scale. For another study, specify whether the filaments are glass, wire or light itself, and keep that material consistent across stem, core and seeds. At small size, the outer halo should remain a recognizable dandelion; at close range, the individual routes should reward inspection.
Pocket-sized facts
Status: invented AOI creative experiment; not a documented historical movement.
Visual focus: a single branching sphere rises on a narrow stem.
The prompt workshop
Original creative exercises. These prompts create new illustrations, not documentary evidence.
A first network
Create an original sculptural dandelion made of fine glass-like filaments and tiny glowing nodes, one clear central seed head against a quiet dusk background. Preserve open air between rays. No words or logo.
Seeds in transit
Create an original Dandelion Data Sculpture with several filaments detaching as seed-like clusters from a luminous central network. Warm silver light, one narrow stem, simple horizon and readable branching. No text or logo.
Map one branch
Create an original macro artwork of a single dandelion-like filament branching into tiny node paths, delicately lit against dark open space. Show one coherent material and avoid diagram labels. No text or logo.
