Descriptive illustration and animation approach
Comic anime is an informal phrase rather than a clearly bounded historical style. Here it means visual comedy informed by anime and manga, while keeping animation, comics and a single illustration distinct.

Readable poses, controlled exaggeration and a clear setup-and-reaction relationship make a joke legible; large eyes or bright color alone do not create comedy.
Clarify the format
The Kyoto International Manga Museum treats manga through history, society and industry, and also exhibits related animation material. That breadth is a useful reminder that neither manga nor anime is one uniform look or a synonym for children's comedy.
A comic page can arrange several moments for a reader, while animation controls their duration. A single image must imply the relationship between setup and reaction through composition. Choose the format before deciding how much information the joke needs.
The pose should communicate first
Establish what the character wants and what interrupts it. The direction of the body, hands and gaze can make that situation clear before the face is exaggerated. An expression disconnected from the action can look energetic without being funny.
Test the scene as simple silhouettes. If the relationship disappears, revise the staging. Keep important hands and objects separated enough to read, especially where a small misunderstanding or physical mismatch carries the joke.
Exaggeration needs a contrast
A sudden simplified expression, enlarged reaction or compressed pose gains force from the more ordinary state around it. If every element is at maximum intensity, the viewer has no baseline against which to read the change.
Choose one main exaggeration and let the rest support it. A restrained observer can make an overconfident character's mistake more apparent. The contrast can remain gentle and character-based without relying on humiliation or stereotypes.
Sequence gives the joke room
For a short comic, try three beats: intention, unexpected result and response. Vary the framing only when it helps the reader understand the event. A close-up should reveal something the wider view could not communicate as clearly.
Use original characters with consistent clothing, proportions and spatial relationships. The prompts below suggest visual exercises rather than copies of a named series. For generated outputs, check the continuity of props and gestures as carefully as the expressions; a broken visual sequence can make the intended joke impossible to follow.

A readable mishap
Original anime-informed comedy illustration of an adult proudly presenting a tiny homemade shelf that is visibly too small for one ordinary book, clear poses and gentle humor.
Three comic beats
Original three-panel visual comedy with an adult trying to fold an overlarge map, consistent character and prop, clear setup, complication and amused reaction, no dialogue.
Contrast in reactions
Original lighthearted illustration of two adult friends watching a harmless mechanical toy behave unexpectedly, one exaggerated reaction and one restrained observer.
