Dark doors open to several miniature chambers lined with blue, violet and gold brocade. Each compartment contains a distinct nebular motif; embroidered stars and tactile thread connect the sky-like spaces to the cabinet's physical surface.

Make the cosmos fit in a drawer

A cabinet divides space into useful little rooms. A nebula seems immeasurably large. Brocade Nebula Cabinet is an invented AOI visual experiment that folds those scales together: each drawer or compartment holds a sky-like scene rendered through woven cloth and small objects. It is a fantasy object, not a historical furniture type or an astronomical image. The cabinet must remain legible as furniture even when its contents suggest distant space.

Design the outside first: dark polished wood, a few warm metal edges, doors that can open. Then assign a different color balance and visual rhythm to each chamber. One can have a spiral of gold thread; another, a broad violet cloud. Let the brocade's weave show in at least one close area so the viewer does not mistake printed texture for fabric. Keep the number of compartments manageable; a crowded grid turns wonder into inventory.

Use contrast to guide the eye

The darkest outer frame makes the interiors seem luminous. Let one compartment be brighter than the rest and place it off center. Small globes or crystals can help convey scale, but they should support the woven sky rather than replace it. In image generation, ask for open doors, consistent cabinet geometry, tactile thread, and distinct chamber contents. Check that the door edges and drawer divisions remain plausible; otherwise the artwork reads as a flat space collage instead of a surprising object.
