Original AOI concept · Embedded Geometrism
A ceramic fracture reveals a spatial system of colored chambers; the geometry is in the thickness, not painted on the glaze. An invented art direction exploring what happens when a precise inner order becomes part of an irregular material.
An AOI creative concept, not an established historical movement.

A sculptural white porcelain vessel opened by a broad clean geological-like fault, revealing nested cobalt blue polygonal chambers embedded through the ceramic thickness, one peach-lit inner chamber, tactile matte glaze and precise thin edges on a quiet ivory plinth. Palette: chalk white, cobalt blue, pale peach, and gold sparingly.
The idea
Porcelain Fault Geometrism treats a break as an entrance into an unexpected interior. A quiet white vessel looks almost familiar until a wide opening reveals colored polygonal rooms within its wall. The piece is an invented sculptural proposal, not a claim about ceramic manufacturing or an imitation of a named restoration tradition. The fracture exposes organization instead of simply signaling damage.
Build the visual language
Choose a silhouette with enough calm space to support the surprise: a rounded jar, a low bowl, or a folded porcelain slab. The outer glaze can be matte and slightly irregular; the inner chambers should have crisp edges and a controlled progression of cobalt tones. One peach-lit recess makes a useful focal point. Preserve the visible ceramic thickness around the opening so that the chambers feel embedded rather than pasted into a hole.
Compose it with intention
Arrange the fault as a broad diagonal or a gentle vertical split, and let it interrupt the vessel asymmetrically. Hairline cracks everywhere compete with the main opening. Gold can mark a few joints but should not become a universal outline. For an experimental image, show two complementary fragments separated by a small gap; their internal chambers align across empty space. The missing piece then becomes an active geometric connection rather than an item waiting to be repaired.
Technique notes
Make the geometry disappear into the material at least twice; occlusion establishes embedding.
Keep one dominant geometric family and one dominant material. Refine their contact before adding detail.

A small poetic detour
Original words from the AOI studio.
Poetry
A white wall opens, blue rooms wake.
There is a shape a break can make.
The missing piece has learned to stay
a small, unpainted kind of day.
The prompt workshop
Original creative exercises. These prompts create new illustrations, not documentary evidence.
Start with one encounter
Porcelain Fault Geometrism: a white porcelain bowl with a single opening revealing three cobalt polygonal chambers. Original AOI Embedded Geometrism concept. A ceramic fracture reveals a spatial system of colored chambers; the geometry is in the thickness, not painted on the glaze. Palette: chalk white, cobalt blue, pale peach, and gold sparingly. Prioritize convincing depth, material contact, selective concealment, and a clear focal point. No labels, watermark, border, or unrelated floating polygons.

Jokes
The vase says it is not broken; it has an open-plan interior.
The smallest chamber costs extra. Apparently it has exceptional negative space.
