AOI creative concept · Light and photographic experiments
Compose an invented garden from a few mirror fragments that each reveal a different crop of the same plant arrangement.
An AOI creative concept, not an established historical movement.

A closer look
Soil brown, leaf green and pale silver; simple mirror fragments. The focal scene: three mirror fragments carrying different crops of one plant arrangement.
Choose the intervention
Compose an invented garden from a few mirror fragments that each reveal a different crop of the same plant arrangement. The fragments should disagree in framing while sharing light and material, making the whole feel connected rather than randomly collaged.
Construct the image
Place three plain mirror pieces on dark soil. Let one show a broad leaf, another a narrow stem and the third a pale flower partly outside its edge. Keep a small real leaf visible beside the mirrors as an anchor. Use soft daylight and avoid ornate frames or excessive glass sparkle.
Keep the comparison clear
If every fragment reflects an unrelated scene, the garden loses continuity. Repeat one color or recognizable plant shape across two reflections. Do not describe the image as a faithful optical setup unless it is actually constructed and checked; it is an imagined composition.
Technique notes
Stand one mirror upright while the other two lie flat, using their different angles to distribute the same limited plant forms across the frame.
When prompting an image model, spell out the rule and visible relationships. The invented style name alone is not a reliable instruction. Compare outputs against the critique above and revise the specific failed relationship.
The prompt workshop
Original creative exercises. These prompts create new illustrations, not documentary evidence.
Start with the defining rule
Create an original illustration of three mirror fragments carrying different crops of one plant arrangement. Compose an invented garden from a few mirror fragments that each reveal a different crop of the same plant arrangement. The fragments should disagree in framing while sharing light and material, making the whole feel connected rather than randomly collaged. Use soil brown, leaf green and pale silver; simple mirror fragments. Keep the composition readable, with a clear focal area and quiet surrounding space. No lettering, signatures or watermark.
Build the fuller composition
Create an original Mirror Crop Gardens composition. Use soil brown, leaf green and pale silver; simple mirror fragments. Preserve the defining constraint: Compose an invented garden from a few mirror fragments that each reveal a different crop of the same plant arrangement. Avoid decorative clutter, readable text and watermarks.
Try a deliberate variation
Create an experimental illustration based on this rule: Compose an invented garden from a few mirror fragments that each reveal a different crop of the same plant arrangement. The fragments should disagree in framing while sharing light and material, making the whole feel connected rather than randomly collaged. Variation: Stand one mirror upright while the other two lie flat, using their different angles to distribute the same limited plant forms across the frame. Use soil brown, leaf green and pale silver; simple mirror fragments. Make the changed relationship unmistakable while keeping supporting details restrained. No captions, signatures or watermark.
